Um aus Berlin eine solidarische Stadt zu machen, fordern wir den uneingeschränkten Zugang zu städtischen Dienstleistungen unabhängig vom Aufenthaltsstatus. Auf der Veranstaltung werden wir das Netzwerk Solidarity City Berlin vorstellen und mit den Teilnehmenden Erfahrungen austauschen.

Seit gut zwei Jahren arbeiten Organisationen und Einzelpersonen in Berlin in dem Netzwerk Solidarity City zusammen. Ziel ist es, aus Berlin eine solidarische Stadt zu machen. Wir fordern den uneingeschränkten Zugang zu städtischen Dienstleistungen für Menschen mit eingeschränktem oder gar keinem Aufenthaltsstatus. Inspiriert von dem Beispiel der Sanctuary Cities in Kanada und den USA fordern wir die Politik und Verwaltung in Berlin dazu auf, für alle hier lebenden Menschen gleiche Rechte einzuräumen und umzusetzen. Aktionsschwerpunkte sind bisher das Recht auf Gesundheitsversorgung und das Recht auf Zugang zu Bildung. Das Netzwerk betreibt eigene Recherchen über die Alltagserfahrungen der Sans Papiers und Geflüchteten in Berlin und entwickelt Strategien, Forderungen und Aktionen.

Auf der Veranstaltung werden wir das Netzwerk vorstellen. Gemeinsam mit den Teilnehmenden wollen wir über Strategien und Ziele des Netzwerks diskutieren und Erfahrungen sowie Wissen austauschen.

Mit Mitgliedern von Solidarity City Berlin, respect Berlin - Für die Rechte von Migrant*nnen in der bezahlten Haushaltsarbeit, und Medibüro Berlin - Netzwerk für das Recht auf Gesundheitsversorgung aller Migrant*innen.

Solidarity City Berlin

A network for social rights for all

In order to make Berlin a Solidarity City, we demand unrestricted access to municipal services regardless of residence status. At the event we will present the Solidarity City Berlin network and exchange experiences with the participants.

For more than two years, organizations and individuals in Berlin have been working together in the Solidarity City network. The aim is to turn Berlin into a Solidarity City. Inspired by the example of the Sanctuary Cities in Canada and the USA, we call on politicians and administrators in Berlin to grant and implement equal rights for all people living here.

So far, the focus of action has been on the access and right to health care and education. The network conducts its own research on the everyday experiences of the Sans Papiers and refugees in Berlin and develops strategies, demands and actions.

At the event we will present the network. Together with the participants we want to discuss strategies and goals of the network and exchange experiences.
